Step-by-Step DNA Test Procedure

Step 1: Place Your Order

Order online through our secure payment system. Choose between an at-home DNA test kit (₱14,900) or a legal DNA test (₱34,900). Your kit will be delivered to your address within 1-3 business days via J&T Express, Ninja Van, or LBC.

Step 2: Receive Your Kit

Your DNA test kit arrives in discreet, plain packaging. Inside you will find:

  • Sterile cheek swabs for each participant
  • Collection tubes with labels
  • Step-by-step instruction booklet
  • Consent forms and chain of custody documents (for legal tests)
  • Pre-paid return envelope for shipping samples to the lab

Step 3: Collect DNA Samples

This is the simplest part of the procedure. Each participant collects their own DNA sample using the provided cheek swab:

  1. Open the sterile swab package without touching the tip
  2. Rub the swab firmly on the inside of your cheek for 30 seconds
  3. Place the swab into the collection tube and seal it
  4. Label the tube with the participant's name
  5. Complete the consent form with the required information

Important: Do not eat, drink, smoke, or chew gum for 30 minutes before collecting samples. This ensures the highest quality DNA sample.

Step 4: Return Samples to the Laboratory

Place all collected swabs and completed forms in the pre-paid return envelope. Drop it off at any partner courier location (J&T Express, Ninja Van, or LBC). Samples are tracked throughout transit to ensure they reach our laboratory safely.

Step 5: Laboratory Analysis

Once received, our accredited laboratory begins the analysis process:

  • Sample verification and logging into the tracking system
  • DNA extraction from cheek swab cells
  • PCR amplification of genetic markers
  • Analysis of 16-21 genetic markers (loci)
  • Duplicate testing by a second technician for accuracy

Step 6: Results Review and Release
